Norsk Alpakka develops and produces sustainable alpaca products with a stylish design.
A chance meeting between Line Werner Kolstad and Anne Line Nubberud marked the beginning of the Norsk Alpakka adventure. In 2006, they decided to establish two small farms, each with its own alpaca herd – in Sigdal and Fredrikstad. A consistent focus on animal welfare has resulted in a comprehensive and safe production of quality products.
Why alpaca wool?
Unique thermal insulation properties. Alpaca feels warm against the skin when it is cold, and cool when it is hot. Good for people with sensitive skin. It is moisture-wicking, heat-regulating and has great flexibility. Alpaca fiber contains very small amounts of lanolin, optimal for allergy sufferers.
From animal to finished product
For us, alpaca is not just an animal with a number on its ear. Each one has a unique personality and it is natural that each one has its own name. Respect for the animals is the key to good products.
