My name is Fatma Okuyan. I have an educational background in interior design and decoration, and I am also trained as a ceramics instructor andmaster craftswoman.
I worked with ceramics for many years in Turkey –teaching different age groups, participating in exhibitions, andcontributing to international projects.
My artistic journey has always been shaped by a deep interest intraditional craftsmanship and natural materials. After moving to Kristiansand, Norway, due to my husband's work as a university lecturer, I found inspiration in the peaceful nature and Norwegian culture, and began working with wool.
Today, I live in Kristiansand and create handmade figures, decorativeobjects, and gift sets in my small studio. Each product is part of a slowand meaningful production process, inspired by Norwegian nature andcultural symbols. It brings me great joy to continue this journey in Norway – surrounded by art, tradition, and storytelling
